The Shawl
Our Shawls are handcrafted in Scicli, Sicily, where the shawl has long been a symbol of femininity, protection, and belonging.
Each piece is made entirely by hand by Le Donne di Luce, an exclusive group of women artisans who preserve the ancient tradition of the Sicilian Shawl. Rooted in cultural heritage and reinterpreted through a contemporary vision, every Shawl is a one-of-a-kind creation, made with care, skill, and intention.
Every Shawl is crafted in the Scicli atelier and bears the name of the artisan who created it, celebrating the individual hand behind every piece. Each Shawl is finished with a sterling silver tag plated in 18K gold and engraved with the CHIARA IS emblem, a mark of authenticity and artisanal excellence.
The Shawl is presented in a hand-stitched linen pouch inspired by traditional Sicilian pillowcases, accompanied by curated care objects designed to protect and preserve a piece made to endure.
The Yarns
CHIARA IS Shawls are crafted using a curated selection of exceptional natural fibres, chosen for their quality, performance, and seasonless versatility.
The collection includes fine merino wool, silk blends, mohair, bamboo, alpaca, and rare cashmere qualities. Each fibre is selected to enhance lightness, softness, durability, and natural temperature regulation, ensuring comfort across seasons.
All yarns are certified and fully traceable, guaranteeing ethical sourcing, animal welfare, and environmental and social responsibility throughout the supply chain, ensuring that every Shawl meets the highest standards of craftsmanship, sustainability, and longevity.
