Scialle Mantella Rosa is named for the rose, flower of Aphrodite, ancient symbol of beauty, joy, and the irresistible power of love. A mantella: a shaped wrap that closes at the neckline with a hand-embroidered buttonhole, allowing it to be worn with the ease and authority of a cape. Handmade entirely by hand in Scicli, Sicily, by Le Donne di Luce, each piece carries the mark of the woman who made it.

In Cupro Silk Blend, it is defined by movement and light. The fabric falls fluidly around the body, catching subtle reflections with every gesture, a quiet luminosity that accompanies rather than announces. Neither heavy nor insubstantial, it drapes with a confidence that feels entirely natural. Designed for ceremony and for simplicity in equal measure.

When your Shawl reaches your hands, it comes accompanied by our Good Care Kit, designed to preserve its beauty across years of wearing.

Inside you will find a hand-stitched linen pouch inspired by the traditional Sicilian pillowcase, a portabene, a small lucky charm to watch over your shawl, and a handcrafted olive wood comb to keep the fringes beautiful. The Shawl travels to you sealed inside a recycled paper box, closed with one of our precious yarns and the CHIARA IS wax seal.
