Gonna Areta is handmade entirely by hand in Scicli, Sicily, by Le Donne di Luce, each piece carries the mark of the woman who made it.

In 100% cotton, it is soft and breathable with a relaxed silhouette that adapts effortlessly to the body. The artisanal craftsmanship draws inspiration from the highlights of Sicilian summer knitwear, enriched with a wavy openwork border for a romantic and feminine touch. Inside, the closure with elastic laces allows for easy wearability, adorned with precious Mother-of-Pearl buttons. A skirt made to be lived in, from morning to evening, season after season.

When your Shawl reaches your hands, it comes accompanied by our Good Care Kit, designed to preserve its beauty across years of wearing.

Inside you will find a hand-stitched linen pouch inspired by the traditional Sicilian pillowcase, a portabene, a small lucky charm to watch over your shawl, and a handcrafted olive wood comb to keep the fringes beautiful. The Shawl travels to you sealed inside a recycled paper box, closed with one of our precious yarns and the CHIARA IS wax seal.

Write to us at info@chiarais.com and we will work with you to add hand-embroidered initials, a date, a name, or a symbol that carries meaning for you. A hidden detail, known only to the person who wears it.

Your shawl will be prepared and dispatched once your order is confirmed. You will receive a shipping confirmation with all delivery details once it is on its way.

As each Shawl is handmade entirely to order, we are unable to accept returns on the basis of preference. However, if your shawl arrives damaged or with a defect, please contact us immediately at info@chiarais.com and we will take care of you personally.
